Newtonhill football club are kicking off the season with new football strips thanks to a sponsorship from Aberdeen-based marine consulting and safety specialists, AMS Global Group
A north-east football team have struck a sponsorship deal with an Aberdeen-based firm.
Newtonhill football club are kicking off the season with new football strips due to marine consulting and safety specialists, AMS Global Group.
With an array of services AMS is a fast-growing company that have a unique approach aimed at the offshore energy industry.
The company previously sponsored the 2004 age group’s red change kit, as well as their black training kit. Graeme Reid, a director at AMS Global Group said: “we’re very pleased to come on board as a sponsor for the Newtonhill team this year.”
The football team train twice a week at Lochside Academy 3G and GOALS at Inverdee, playing in the Aberdeenshire and District Juvenile Football Association Under 18A League.
Coach of Newtonhill, Andrew Smith said: “We are delighted to receive this sponsorship deal. I would like to thank everyone at AMS Global Group for their fantastic support. It has been tough to keep everyone engaged in grass roots youth football following lockdown.“
“This deal helps us to promote the values and standards that we set at our club by enabling our Under 18 players to be well presented at training sessions and on match days. It gives them a sense of pride to play for our club and be an inspiration for the kids in the younger age groups who look up to them” expressed coach Andrew Smith.
The Newtonhill team are the second to be sponsored by AMS Global Group. In 2021 the company sponsored the kit for the young players in the Dyce 2015 age group at Dyce Boys Club.
Graeme Reid added “youth sport has had a challenging time during the pandemic with youngsters missing out on the chance to play the game they love. It’s fantastic to see things get back to normal at youth and junior level and as part of our active programme of CSR activities were delighted to support this return.”
