Marine consulting and safety specialists AMS Global Group has secured a five-year contract with a major North Sea independent exploration and production operator.

The significant deal with Premier Oil comes as AMS Global Group confirms is has doubled revenues in its most recent financial year.

AMS Global Group has recently recruited five new employees to meet demand across all its divisions bringing its total number of staff to 39.

To accommodate the growing number of personnel and the business, AMS Global Group has invested in expanding its premises. It has taken over additional office, workshop and warehouse facilities at Paragon House, near Aberdeen Harbour, on a ten-year agreement.

Neil Carr, Director of AMS Global Group, celebrated the new non-exclusive contract delivering marine assurance services to Premier Oil.

He said: “Our contract with Premier Oil is a real vote of confidence in AMS and the local supply chain in what has been a challenging time for the industry.

“Despite low oil prices and the pandemic, we are pleased that we are continuing to grow our business having doubled our revenues in the year to July and this trend has continued on the last quarter. In fact, we have similarly grown our business every year since we started, which we believe justifies our approach to delivering quality of service to our customers safely, speedily and at the right price.”

Recent business growth has continued across the business’s five divisions. Demand for its antiviral fogging services through AMS Disinfection has grown among customers including Aberdeen Football Club as well as local schools, charities and hospitality businesses. AMS Safety has continued to deliver safety equipment rental and Emergency Response Team support to clients in energy as well as food and drink. AMS Bulk, Cargo and Marine Tech are also continuing to expand to meet further business opportunities.
